FAQ

How to exchange Aarke CO2 cylinders?

To exchange your empty gas cylinders for full ones, order the CO2 canister 2-pack above. Once it arrives, generate a free DPD return label and send us your empty gas cylinders in the provided exchange box.

We will refund you the deposit (£10 per cylinder) once we receive the empty cylinders. Exchange complete!

I only have 1 empty cylinder at home, can I exchange it?

Yes, if you only have 1 empty cylinder you can still send it for exchange with our exchange box and get a £10 refund for it. However, we recommend keeping the exchange box and waiting until you have a second empty cylinder to send them together. This way you will always have one to use at home while you're exchanging the other two.

I don’t have any empty cylinders at home yet. Can I purchase this product?

Yes, you can purchase this product as a start cylinder set. Just add to basket and you are good to go. Please note however, that in this case you will not get the deposit refunded.

Then, once your 2 start cylinders are empty and want a CO2 cylinder refill, place another order here to get 2 full gas cylinders and return the empty ones you have to get the deposit refunded.

The exchange box doesn’t have the return label inside it, how can I send you my empty cylinders?

Please click here* to generate the free return label. Please note that you will need to print the return label yourself and tape it to the box before taking the box to the drop off point.

* In order to provide an easy to use and efficient returns service we are providing you with a link to DPD's Pickup Returns Portal. If your returned items are lost or damaged whilst being returned to us, please do not contact DPD as your contract for the return is with us and not DPD.

What is my closest DPD service point, where I can drop off my empty cylinders?

You can search for your nearest DPD service point when generating the return label.

Or click here to search for the nearest service point in the United Kingdom.

When can I expect a refund of the deposit after returning my empty cylinders?

Once you have dropped off your exchange box with empty cylinders and the return label at a DPD service point, you can expect the refund to reach your bank in 10-14 days.

Can I send you an empty cylinder from another brand to get my deposit refunded?

Yes, we accept standard 425g / 60L screw-in gas cylinders from different brands approved for use with sparkling water makers.

Your empty gas cylinders cannot be exchanged, however, if they are damaged or if they are Sodastream Quick Connect cylinders with the pink ring.

What is included in the price of your CO2 cylinder pack?

Our 2-pack cylinder bundle includes the gas cylinder deposit (£10 per cylinder) which you can get refunded by sending back your empty CO2 cylinders for exchange. It also includes the cost of the exchange box, shipping and the ability to generate a free return label.

How long does an Aarke gas canister last?

You can carbonate up to 60L of sparkling water with the 425g / 60L Aarke gas canister. The length of use will therefore depend on how often you'll make and drink carbonated water.

100% Renewable CO2

The gas in our screw-in gas cylinders is exclusively produced from renewable resources in Europe. This means that the CO2 comes from sources already in the ecosystem, not adding any unnecessary CO2 to the atmosphere.

Our CO2 is a byproduct from agricultural and chemical production. It is then purified and certified to become a food-grade gas for sparkling water makers designed for use with the screw-in gas cylinders.
